Jan Marker has lived her entire life in the City of Hammond, Indiana. Jan is a graduate of Hammond High School, Class of 1974. Following graduation, Jan attended Sawyer Business College in Hammond, Indiana. After Sawyer, Jan obtained employment with St. Margaret Mercy Hospital – North Campus as a medical transcriptionist where she would work for the next 20 years. To broaden her horizons, Jan decided to enter the legal field. Jan’s first job was with an insurance defense law firm by the name of Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty, P.C. in the Town of Merrillville, Indiana. Over the next 15 years, Jan worked as a legal secretary, legal assistant and paralegal. Jan then went to work for another local law office that specialized in medical malpractice defense. Now, Jan is working with a plaintiff’s law firm as a paralegal for the Gladish Law Group where she enjoys working closely with the clients and helping the clients through the litigation process.
