Ms. Mayer is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana and has worked as a paralegal for over 25 years. She currently resides in Porter County with her family. She attended Indiana University – Northwest, majoring in Political Science with an interest in Law. She went on to obtain a paralegal certificate in 1991 from the Paralegal Institute of NW Indiana. She began her law career in the area of insurance defense with Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty in Merrillville, Indiana focusing on personal injury, medical malpractice and worker’s compensation law. In 2004, Lisa had an opportunity to work for the Justice Department as a paralegal contractor with the US Attorney’s office and FBI on the Public Corruption Task Force. At that time, she worked under US Attorney Joseph Van Bokkelen until 2007. Following the completion of her contract with the Justice Department, Ms. Mayer returned to the area of insurance defense working primarily in personal injury and medical malpractice. In 2009, Lisa chose to switch to the Plaintiff’s side and began working for a personal injury attorney. Ms. Mayer had always wanted to finish completing her bachelor’s degree and decided to return to school in 2014. She completed her degree program at Dominican University graduating with honors with a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies. She joined the Law Office of David Gladish in March of 2017 and enjoys working closely with the clients, assisting with discovery, investigation, research and bringing the case to conclusion through trial or settlement negotiations.
